I end up with so many sample sizes of products and being a bit of a beauty junkie I always like to try them out so I don’t miss out on a new grooming must have. Here are the samples I’m using this month.
L’Occitane Precious Cream – I have been using L’Occitane bath and body products for years but this is the 1st face product I’ve ever tried. It is a rich moisturising cream that smells nice and I’ve been impressed with this sample.
Benefit That Gal – Being a guy I was a bit unsure about trying this primer as it has a slight pink tint to it but the pink is very subtle so it will just give the skin a slight lift rather than a pink shimmer.
Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Dry/ Sensitive – This is a rich cream that is a little too heavy for me to use during the day. I read in the Beauty Bible that it works well as a neck cream so I’ve been using it on my neck at night.
Nude Pro Genius Treatment Oil – A woody scented face oil with omega 3,6,7 & 9 that I use at night before moisturising. It added extra moisture to my skin and smelled lovely.
Acqua di Parma Cologne – This fragrance is a true classic and will leave you smelling citrusy and fresh.
Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner – I’ve been using this at night during this cold spell to add extra hydration.
Have you used any of these products?

Moisturisers are the holly grail of the beauty industry, and every year hundreds of brands launch new lotions, anti ageing moisturisers and night creams. Asking yourself these 7 questions will help you chose the best cream for your skin type so you avoid a bathroom full of jars and tubes you never use.
On Sunday I saw that QVC were selling a duo of the Decleor Systeme Corps body moisturiser and as I had just ran out of my last bottle I thought I’d treat myself to the duo and review the product for anyone that has not tried it yet.
Systeme Corps body moisturiser is a true beauty hall of fame product and one of the signature products from the Decleor body range. Packed with moisturising ingredients including coconut oil and meadowfoam oil Decleor promise this product will create a comforting and protective layer of moisture on the body as well as firming and softening the skin.
Perricone MD is the skincare range from Dr. Nicholas Perricone. The range is packaged in pharmaceutical style jars and the brand uses many patented ingredients within the formulas. Most of the products focus on anti-aging and come with a high price tag on the back of the medical background. The Nutritive Cleanser is more affordable that the creams and other treatments from Perricon but still includes the same anti-aging ingredients.
The Skin Nourishing Shower Cream from Elemis is part of their Sp@Home range and promises to be free from parabens, mineral oils, silicones and other skin nasties. The shower cream is the sister product to the iconic Skin Nourishing Milk Bath but can this shower cream deliver the same results?
The Crème de la Mer cream gets a lot of attention and divides many people, some who can’t live without it and others who think the product does not match the price tag. I will be reviewing the cream soon but today I thought I’d look at another product in the range.
The winter always drys my skin out. The last 3 years in particular my skin has suffered from the cold weather outside and central heating inside. To combat this I always make sure I’m prepared to add a few power packed products into my routine to add comfort to my skin.
At night I’ve added the Elemis SOS cream and Liz Earle’s Superskin moisturiser to my routine. Both of these products add protection and moisture to dry and sensitive skin. The SOS cream is also a good skin balancer for any skin that is out of sorts so will tackle redness and any spots too.
Depending on how my skin is feeling I either use the products on alternative nights or I mix them together as a power packed bespoke balancing moisture treat for my skin. I always apply them over a facial oil for the ultimate protection for my skin.
What are your winter skin survival tips?
The Elemis Quiet Mind Bath Elixir has become, over the last few months, my favourite bubble bath. This bathing treat is a refreshing change from the traditional lavender based relaxing bath products and has a much more refreshing aroma of lemon and eucalyptus that clears my head and eases the body after sports. Perfect to see you through the new year detox.
