Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme fragrance review
I love a good fragrance and I’m always on the lookout for a new signature sent and I often end up spending a fortune on aftershaves trying to find the right one. In the sales I always search around for fragrance gift sets that have a good discount and this year I was lucky enough to find this Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme set.
I had a large size of Gucci by Gucci a few years ago but this is only the 2nd time I’ve bought the fragrance. This set included 50ml of fragrance, 50ml aftershave balm and 50ml shower gel.
Gucci say this is the fragrance for the modern male icon and sits in the woody fragrance family. With citrus top notes, heart notes of jasmine and a base of amber and patchouli this aftershave is classic and masculine but has a fresh burst that is contemporary. The sent is youthful while still being sophisticated and the jasmine adds a twist that ensures this is nothing like the heady woody colognes from the 70’s.
The bottle calls on the history of the Gucci brand with the horsebit lid. Horsebit has been used by Gucci since the 50’s when it featured on a bag. Since then it has been printed on silk scarves, used on the iconic Gucci loafers and incorporated into jewellery.
Don’t over spray your fragrance as that just gives everyone else a headache. Try spraying less cologne by layering your fragrance. Start with showering in the matching shower gel then use a corresponding lotion. You will need to spray less as your skin is already scented.
