Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish – This is a true beauty icon and is a long term favourite of mine. I got this sample which is handy for weekends away. Look out for my full review next week.
Victor & Rolf Spicebomb – This is my favourite fragrance at the moment! I have the full size but was glad I got this sample for on the go!
L’Occitane Shea Hand Cream – This is a beauty classic and is nice and moisturising on the hands with the shea butter.
L’Occitane Ultra Rich Face Cream – I’m new to using L’Occitane skin care but this sample has impressed me. This is a rich cream so I had to use it at night but it did not feel too heavy on the skin. I think this will be one to reach for when my skin dry’s out.
Perricone MD Cold Plasma – This is a bit of a unique product from Perricone. It is supposed to be used before you put your serum on to boost everything else you use. As ageing is not a major concern of mine I just used it in place of a serum and I was surprised how good it was. I’m sure my skin looked a bit fresher and brighter after using. The full price is around £120 so I think I’ll wait till my skin needs a boots before paying out for the full size.
Liz Earle Foot Scrub – I never expected to like this scrub as I always think foot scrubs are a bit of a waste of money as they are never abrasive enough. This scrub is extremely exfoliating with the pumice in it and the peppermint oil is refreshing. I would buy the full size for the summer.

I’m on my feet a lot and being in trainers at the gym regularly can take its toll so I decided to try the L’Occitane foot cream as I’ve heard the 15% shea butter in the product is good at nourishing dry skin.
The cream includes arnica to sooth and lavender to refresh along with the moisturising Shea butter. The lavender fragrance is quite special as most, if not all foot creams I’ve used before smell of peppermint so it is nice to find a brand that bucks the trend.
My skin can often suffer from redness and I’m always interested in trying something that can help combat this and reduce my high coloured skin. Because there are so many causes of redness it is something that can be hard to treat without using a makeup product such as concealer or foundation to cover over the area. Being a guy, it is not always appropriate to be using a full coverage concealer and foundation so when I found bareMinerals Neutralising Prime Time primer I was eager to try it.
The Superskin Moisturiser was created by Liz Earle for people with mature and dry skin. The cream is fragrance-free so it can be used by the most sensitive skins and Liz Earle say that this moisturiser will plump and leave the skin looking healthy and smooth.
Here are the products that I’ve came to the end of using this month.
Elemis Lime Blossom Cleanser & Lavender Toner – A long term staple of my cleansing routine this cleanser and toner is for combination skin and smells delicious.
Philosophy Candy Cane Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath – This wash is fresh and sweet and really does smell like candy canes. I used this over the Christmas season to get me in the festive mood.
Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate – I love this oil and always make sure I’m using it every night during the winter to add extra nourishment to my skin.
Perricone MD Advanced Face Firming Activator – This serum helps brighten this skin and smooth it. It is expensive but the jar last me ages and the texture was lovely and light.
Decleor Lip Balm – I always have a few lip balms on the go and have had this one for ages. It is nice and moisturising on dry lips without being sticky or glossy.

I end up with so many sample sizes of products and being a bit of a beauty junkie I always like to try them out so I don’t miss out on a new grooming must have. Here are the samples I’m using this month.
L’Occitane Precious Cream – I have been using L’Occitane bath and body products for years but this is the 1st face product I’ve ever tried. It is a rich moisturising cream that smells nice and I’ve been impressed with this sample.
Benefit That Gal – Being a guy I was a bit unsure about trying this primer as it has a slight pink tint to it but the pink is very subtle so it will just give the skin a slight lift rather than a pink shimmer.
Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Dry/ Sensitive – This is a rich cream that is a little too heavy for me to use during the day. I read in the Beauty Bible that it works well as a neck cream so I’ve been using it on my neck at night.
Nude Pro Genius Treatment Oil – A woody scented face oil with omega 3,6,7 & 9 that I use at night before moisturising. It added extra moisture to my skin and smelled lovely.
Acqua di Parma Cologne – This fragrance is a true classic and will leave you smelling citrusy and fresh.
Elemis Rehydrating Ginseng Toner – I’ve been using this at night during this cold spell to add extra hydration.

I ordered this shave collection from Elemis on wait list from QVC before Christmas. I thought QVC might not be able to get the new stock in so I was extra excited when it arrived this week!
The set includes:
- Deep Cleansing Facial Wash
- Ice-Cool Foaming Shave Gel
- Daily Moisture Boost
- Sharp Shower Body Wash
It all comes in a nice shaving bag that is similar to some that I’ve seen Prada do.
I have had all the products in this collection before but because it has been a long time since I last tried them I will wait till I use them again before giving a proper review, which won’t be long as I’ve almost finished my current shaving cream!
